Get to know about how some people face everyday survival either as their own election or as a consequence of a personal experience. People, that in its vast majority live hidden from our sight and usually to those in charge of social well-being. These are people that because of their lack of access to education, mental or physical health, and of their ethnicity, alcohol and other drugs addiction, find themselves forced to survive on the leftovers of a consumer society, to ask for alms on the streets, charity, or larceny. Sometimes their faces let appear experienced charges of violence and abuse derived from social exclusion. Other times, their singularity is a personal option, but not for being an election makes it an easier path. Anonim faces, but not anodyne that hide the most intriguing stories. It is to them – the invisible – to whom this work is dedicated.
Article 25 – Universal Declaration of Human Rights
- Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.
- Motherhood and childhood are entitled to special care and assistance. All children, whether born in or out of wedlock, shall enjoy the same social protection.
